
Nolac Chocolate tray bake
Serves- 6-8
Baking time: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup sugar (brown or castor sugar)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup Nolac Maas
½ cup vegetable oil
80g dark chocolate, chopped
For the topping
½ cup caramel
1 cup Nolac Dairy Snack
Fresh berries/ cherries for garnish
Method
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar, until the mixture becomes slightly thick. Whisk in the vanilla essence, Nolac maas and vegetable oil. Combine the wet ingredients to the dry and fold in the dark chocolate. Pour into a greased and lined deep, baking tray. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a skewer comes out clean.
Make the topping by combining the caramel and Nolac dairy snack.
Once the tray bake has cooled, Top with the caramel sauce and garnish with berries or cherries and a dusting of cocoa powder. Cut as desired.
