Mekaila’s Decadent Brownie

Mekaila’s Decadent Brownie

Serves : 20
Baking time: 25-30 minutes minutes plus cooling time 

200g semi-sweet dark chocolate, melted
125g unsalted butter, melted
125ml  full cream maas
80 g  cocoa powder
65 g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
360 g caster sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup chocolate chips 

to serve
whipped cream
orange zest

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 24cm square baking tin with greaseproof paper. Add melted butter and maas to the melted chocolate and stir to combine. Sift the cocoa powder and flour into a separate bowl, add the baking powder and sugar and then mix together. Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and stir together until incorporated. Beat the eggs, then mix in until you have a silky consistency. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the brownie mix into the baking tin, and place in the oven for around 25-30 minutes. This may seem like a short time but you want to ensure that you do not over bake the brownies. Allow brownies to cool slightly in the tin before cutting into desired shapes. Serve warm with a generous amount of whipped cream. Garnish with a sprinkle of orange zest.
