
Jungle Taystee Wheat Lemon & Poppy Seed Bars

INGREDIENTS
1 cup Jungle Taystee Wheat
1 cup self-rising flour
¼ cup melted butter
2 Tbsp honey/ maple syrup
2 Tbsp poppy seeds
1 egg, beaten
Zest & juice of 2 lemons
zesty glaze
½ cup icing sugar, sifted
zest & juice of 1 lemon
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180 °.
Line a 20cm square baking tray with baking paper. In a large bowl mix together all ingredients until well combined. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking tray and bake for 10 – 15 minutes until golden brown.
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes. Once completely cool remove from the baking tray and slice.
To prepare the glaze combine all ingredients in a small bowl until smooth. Drizzle some zesty glaze over the bars and enjoy!
