
Heleen Meyer’s sleepy tea

Makes 2 cups
INGREDIENTS
2 chamomile or Rooibos Chamomile tea bags
500 ml (2 cups) boiling water
2,5 ml (½ tsp) honey
1 small piece of a cinnamon stick (optional)
3 slices fresh ginger
a few mint leaves
METHOD
Place the tea bags in a large jug and pour boiling water over.
Flavour the tea with honey, cinnamon, ginger and mint to taste.
Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes until well infused. Remove the tea bags and cinnamon stick and ginger slices.
Pour the warm tea into mugs or heat-resistant glasses and enjoy! This brew can also be enjoyed cold, but a warm drink will be extra soothing before bedtime.
