Aloha Burger

Fry’s Big Fry Aloha Burgers 

Recipe inspired by Kyle Buckingham (Double Ironman Champion and Plant based athlete)

Serves 2
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
 
 
Ingredients:
 
2 Big Fry Burgers, defrosted
30ml oil for frying
½ can pineapple rings
2 tbsp pineapple juice from the can
½ cup barbeque sauce
2 slices vegan cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
2 fresh buns               
                                                                                          
 
Cooking Instructions:
Prepare the sauce by placing the barbeque sauce in a bowl. Add the 2 tbsp of pineapple juice, stir together, and set aside. 
Heat the oil on high in a non-stick pan. Add the defrosted Big Fry Burgers and reduce to a medium heat. Fry for 9 minutes, turning occasionally. 
Add the vegan cheese slices and allow them to melt slightly. 
Spread 1 tbsp of the sauce on the bottom of each bun. Cover with lettuce and a Big Fry patty. Top with a pineapple ring. 
Spread 1 tbsp of the sauce inside the top of each bun, and top the burger. Enjoy 
 
Chefs notes:
Make sure your Big Fry burger patties are completely defrosted before cooking.
