
French toast waffle sandwiches with Clover Classic Custard

Baking time: 20 minutes
INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
2 tbsp Clover Classic Custard
1 cup full cream milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp orange zest
4 thick slices bread of choice
for serving
250 ml cream cheese mixed with + handful seasonal chopped berries
icing sugar
200ml Clover Classic Custard

METHOD
Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions and spray with cooking spray. Whisk eggs, Clover Classic Custard, milk, vanilla essence, orange zest and salt together in a wide bowl until combined. Dip bread slices in the egg mixture – one at a time, coating both sides of the bread completely. Lift bread with a slotted spatula to allow excess egg mixture to drain back into the bowl. Place dipped bread in the preheated waffle iron. Gently close the lid without forcing it down. Cook until golden brown - about 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining slices. Sandwich with the cream cheese and berry filling, a dusting of icing sugar and a generous serving of Clover Classic Custard. Enjoy!
