Dragon Fruit Sorbet
Recipe by: Jade de Waal
Serves: 2-4
Recipe time: 15 min
Ingredients
8 cubes frozen Krush juice
1 cup (250ml) cantaloupe melon, frozen overnight if you want to use it immediately, the melon gives great ice cream texture
1 cup (250ml) dragon fruit, frozen overnight if you want to use it immediately
1 tsp (5ml) superfood powder, we love baobab powder (optional)
1 tsp (5ml) pomegranate or lemon juice (depending on the colour of you dragon fruit)
Method
Cut the fruit into cubes, and if you’re planning ahead, freeze in a container overnight.
When you’re ready to rock ‘n roll, add all the ingredients to a blender & puree until smooth.
If you are using frozen ingredients, you can enjoy your dragon fruit sorbet straight away!
If you want to freeze the mixture, a container or even a bread tin is lovely, freeze for 3-4 hours, beating the mix every 30 minutes with a fork. Don’t worry chef, it’s not as hard as it sounds!
For a gelato texture, add the mixture to a machine and churn until ready to eat!
