
Delicious Chicken Feet with Butternut

INGREDIENTS
Chicken Feet
3 Tbsp oil
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 green pepper, diced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp curry powder (Mild)
1 tsp chicken spice
1,8 kg chicken feet
2 cups chicken stock
½ pct brown onion soup powder
aromatic seasoning
Butternut
¼ cup water
1 large buttenut, cut in chunks
1 cinnamon stick
2 Tbsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil or margarine
METHOD
Chicken Feet
In a pan, heat the oil, add the onion, then cook on high heat until onion is golden brown. Add the garlic and green pepper and cook, stirring, until the green pepper is tender. Add the paprika, curry powder and chicken spice and stir. Add the chicken feet and stir through. Add the chicken stock and soup powder, close with a lid and simmer on low heat. Season the chicken with the aromatic seasoning, cover and simmer until tender.
Butternut
Add all the ingredients for the butternut to a saucepan over medium—high heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil, then lower the temperature, cover with a lid and simmer until the butternut is cooked and all the water is evaporated. Remove the cinnamon stick and then mash the buttenut with the back of a fork.
Serve the chicken feet with the butternut.
