
Delicious Breads for Braai

INGREDIENTS
Large Garlic Bread
250 g butter, at room temperature
6 cloves garlic, grated (add more if you preferred)
1 sliced white bread
tin foil
Caprese Braaibroodjies
large ciabatta
3 ripe tomatoes, sliced
salt and pepper
250 g mozzarella cheese, sliced
2 handfuls of basil leaves
olive oil, to drizzle
balsamic reduction, optional
kitchen rope or thread
METHOD
Large Garlic Bread
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Mix the butter and garlic well. Spread the garlic butter between the bread slices. Pack the slices back to shape a bread again. Now spread the remaining garlic butter on the outside of the bread. Wrap with tin foil and bake for 75 minutes in the oven. OR braai over the coals, turning regularly.
Caprese Braaibroodjies
Cut the ciabatta horizontally in half. Pack the tomato slices on the bottom half, season with salt and pepper, then top with the mozzarella slices and basil leaves. Drizzle generously with olive oil. Put the top halve of the bread on top. Tie the bread with kitchen rope at regular intervals. BBQ over medium coals, turning regularly, until brown and crisp on the outside. Remove the rope and cut diagonally in wide slices.
