
Creamel Chicken and Tomato Stew

Ease into the cold weather with a bowl of our Creamel Chicken and Tomato Stew. Thanks to the versatility of Clover Creamel with its rich and creamy taste, this recipe is packed with goodness for the whole family to enjoy - so give it a try this weekend.
Clover Creamel can be mixed with a dash of water, to add a creamy texture to your white sauce and creamy pasta dishes
Notes:
You can omit the bacon from this recipe if you don’t have any.
We’ve used butternut instead of potatoes for a sweeter and lower carb taste and therefore not adding any sugar to the recipe.
You can use any veg you have to bulk up the stew - the more veggies, the more nutrition for your family.
Ingredients:
3 chicken breasts, cubed
4 bacon rashers, diced
1/2 cup mushrooms sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup butternut, cubed
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes sliced
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 T tomato paste
3T Creamel, mixed with 300ml water
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
Heat a dash of oil in a saucepan.
Add onion, bacon, mushrooms, garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Saute until onion softens and the bacon starts to brown.
Add in the chicken and butternut and mix well together with the flavours.
Add tinned tomatoes, tomato paste and herbs. Simmer for a few minutes.
Pour in the Creamel mixture and simmer until the chicken and butternut is cooked.
Serve with pasta or rice of choic, a grating of cheese and a garnish of fresh herbs
