Clover Classic Pap and Beef Stew cottage pie

Clover Classic Pap and Beef Stew cottage pie
 
Cooking time: 30-40 minutes
Serves: 4-6 
 
Ingredients
For the beef stew
1 onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
2-3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1,5 beef stewing pieces 
1 tbsp bbq spice
1 tomato, chopped
1 tbps tomato paste
¼ cup Clover Classic Mayo
Salt and pepper to taste 
 
For the pap
1 cup water
1 ½ cup maize meal 
 
Method
Preheat the oven to 180C. 
Heat a glug of oil in a saucepan and add in the onions and carrots. Allow to cook until the onions are softened. Add in the beef stew pieces and cook until the meat is browned. Add in the spice, chopped tomato, tomato paste and potatoes. Season with salt and pepper and add in water. Cook until the meat is tender and stir in the Clover Classic Mayo. Simmer until the sauce because thick. 
 
To make the pap, boil the water in a saucepan and stir in the pap. Give it a good mix to avoid lumps and cook for 10-15 minutes, on a low heat. Place the beef stew into a serving dish and top with pap. Use a fork to make the pattern on top of the pap and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
