Clover Classic Magwinya Cheeseburgers

 
Ingredients
500g beef mince
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Bbq sauce for glazing
Lettuce, for garnish
Sliced tomato for garnish
Pickles, sliced
3-4 ready made Amagwinya/vetkoek, slider or normal size
 
For the burger mayo
½ cup Clover Classic Mayo
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp pickle juice (from pickles)
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp chopped jalapeno’s
 
Method
Place the beef mince into a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Form into thin patties and spread out in the palm of your hand. Combine the cheese and add a small amount into the centre of a patty, before covering it with the second patty. Press ends to seal the cheese in.
 
Heat a glug of oil in a pan and add the patties. Cook for about 3 minutes a side and baste with the bbq sauce.
 
Combine the ingredients for the mayo and add to the bottom of a halved amawginya. Add a dollop of the burger mayo, followed by the lettuce and tomato, then the patty. Top with the burger mayo and pickles and top with the other half magwinya before serving
