Clover Braaied Mayo and Chutney Chicken

1 Tbsp oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
½ cup Clover Classic Mayonnaise #3
3 Tbsp apricot chutney 
3 Tbsp Tomato sauce
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
8 chicken thighs (with bone and skin)
1 tin apricot halves, drained or fresh apricots
colourful Christmas salad, to serve

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat and cook the onion, garlic and chilli for a few minutes until softened. Stir in the chutney, mayonnaise, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper. Place the chicken in the mayonnaise mixture and cook for 10 minutes. Remove the chicken pieces with a tong and place on a grid. Braai over medium heat. Brush some of the mayonnaise mixture over the chicken every time you turn the grid/chicken. Braai until cooked through and sticky. 
Add the apricots to the remaining mayonnaise mixture and cook for 8 minutes. 
Serve the chicken with the mayonnaise and apricot sauce and a colourful Christmas salad. 
Tip: The chicken can also be cooked in the oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan) for 40 – 45 minutes.
