150g Polenta
130g Cake flour
2T Sugar
3t Baking powder
Salt to taste
2 Free range egg
200ml Milk
250g Woolworths Bokwurst
Oil for deep frying
Mozzarella slices
3T Woolworths spicy salsa
Jalapeno chillis, sliced to garnish
Coriander to garnish
Carni corn dog:
For the batter combine: The polenta, cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl beat a free-range egg into the milk before slowly pouring it into the dry ingredients while stirring until it forms a thick batter.
Using large skewers: Carefully skewer the sausages and heat the oil for deep frying.
Pour the bather into a tall glass before dipping the skewered hotdog, coating it well in the batter.
Carefully place in the oil and deep-fry for about 2 minutes or until golden and crisp. Place on absorbent kitchen paper while cooling down slightly. Add the sliced cheese to melt over the corndog before adding the salsa, jalapeno and coriander then serving.
