We will be discussing the design duo behind XM Creation with Co-Funders Xolani Magadla and Mawande Mbawuli.
Xolani and Mawande went to study sewing together at Learn to Earn in Khayelitsha to get the basic before starting their own business. They started their business with as little as a R450 loan with a small shack as their studio and a ceiling board to create a cutting table. In 2012 they started XM Creations, where they were later on gifted with the opportunity to make matric jackets and tracksuits for a nearby high school.
From then on business started booming. XM Creations is a very diverse and versatile brand that caters for everyone from fashionistas to working class to even kids.
