Chef Tjaart is no stranger to the food scene, having made a name for himself as a judge on the Great South African Bake-off on BBC Lifestyle and as a recurring feature on our sister show, Expresso Show.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Chef Tjaart’s heart and passion for food is firmly set in Africa, particularly the African summers. His most recent cookbook Summer Food showcases just that, his love for its sun, beautiful scenery, warm hospitality and long summers.
At just 16, Chef Tjaart loved getting his hands dirty, growing herbs at a commercial level and his interest in the industry growing and leading him down the garden path to cooking.
He has travelled across the globe, working with numerous names of note in the culinary industry including world-renowned French chef, Raymond Blanc (OBE) at Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons in the UK.
Today, he sets the scene for 2022 as we uncover the tastiest trends for this year.
