It goes without saying that parenting a teenager is notoriously complicated – there’s a lot of physical, emotional and social development that is happening in a relatively short space of time. Now add a global pandemic into the mix, and it's even more challenging to navigate for both parent and child.

We chat to family therapist & social worker Talya Ressel about why it is important to talk to our teenagers about COVID-19.

Talya Ressel is a social worker and family therapist who has worked in both South Africa and England for the past 15 years.  Above all, she is a curious and real person, trying to navigate this messy life.

She is particularly drawn to working with young people and supporting them while they try make sense of their experiences as well as assisting parents to manage the well-being of their child/ren, themselves and the whole family system.
