Joining us in studio today for Cook-A-Long Tuesday is one of the most successful actresses in South Africa, Sophie Ndaba now Lichaba by marriage.
Sophie has played many roles but rose to fame through her role as Queen Moroka on the popular soapie Generations. Many women looked up to her for playing the role of such a powerful woman and some even, after 20 years of playing the character, now refer to her as Queen.
Fun fact - Sophie's first role was in Class of 92 and her other TV appearances include Yizo Yizo, Soul City, Isidingo and High Rollers.
Despite all the glam and the fame that has come with her celebrity status, Sophie has faced many challenges. Most recently (in 2018) she left everyone shook with her dramatic weight loss. And then revealed in an emotional post that she has been suffering from diabetes.
Fast forward a few years later and Sophie has decided to re-invent herself... She's taken on different roles and is now channeling her focus to new business ideas. She has expanded her life outside of television and serves as a leader for many organisations and brands. Her motto is always “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to believe, thrive, and to do so with passion, compassion, humor and most importantly style."
Tune in at 5PM for our hour long Tuesday Cook-A-Long with Sophie.
