FNB’s Senior Economist, Siphamandla Mkhwanazi chats to us about the National Budget Speech. He was be touching on numerous points from the speech including the implications the speech has on South Africa’s economic landscape, solutions the country can take to rebuild the economy, and will be giving a brief analysis on the country’s ratio of debt to GDP.
 
Siphamandla has extensive knowledge on the South African economy. After graduating with an M.Com in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, he went on to work as an economist for the Competition Commission of South Africa. 
 
Following 4 years at the Competition Commission of South Africa, he took on employment within the banking sector as an Economist for Standard Bank Corporate and Investment Banking. In 2019, he joined FNB South Africa as an economist.
