Clinical Psychologist Sikander Kalla returns to discuss the psychological effects of financial strain and job hunting during this challenging time
After completing two years of volunteer work with ER24 Emergency Medical Services and the Department of Health, Sikander realised that mastering self-knowledge and providing healthcare are intertwined.
As a result of this realisation, Sikander enrolled at the University of Pretoria and began his journey to becoming a HPCSA-registered clinical psychologist. After completing his masters, he completed his degree’s clinical training at Elizabeth Donkin Psychiatric Hospital and his clinical internship year at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.
Sikander continued to work for the Gauteng Department of Health and did his year of public service at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. He currently practices within the Sandton region at various clinical settings.
