From a deteriorating shack to South African TV screens, SABC news anchor, Pearl Shongwe is the new host of SABC 1’s One Day Leader. This comes after Shongwe’s career catapulted in the broadcasting sphere when she evolved as a news and sports anchor. One Day Leader is an educational show which aims to groom the youth into future leaders by giving them the opportunity to unlock their leadership potential while tackling issues that are prevalent in our society. The contestants delve into the most important issues that affect the country while receiving mentorship and direction from the likes of Tebogo Ditshego, an award-winning businessman and founder of “Read ABook SA”. The show taps into the minds of these prospective leaders with an objective of inspiring and changing ways of thinking, amongst South African youth.
