Scottish TikTok sensation and Musician Nathan Evans chats to us about his video that went viral and how it scored him a record deal.
 
Nathan was a struggling musician from a small town on the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland. On 27 December, he decided to upload a video onto TikTok of him doing an acapella version of ‘Wellerman’, a sea shanty about whalers waiting for a resupply ship during the 1800s.
 
Soon, his video went viral and he became an internet sensation. Within a month after uploading the video, he signed a three-album record deal with Universal Music.
 
Today, the video currently has 8 million views and is rising by the day. His version of Wellerman is currently at Number Two on the Official Singles Chart.
