We’re cooking up a storm with home chef and foodie, Mynhardt Joubert, who’s appreciation for the art of food and wine started when he arrived in Cape Town 12 years back and began working at a wine bar in De Waterkant. An appreciation that has since developed into a full blown love affair! 
 
“A whole world of food and wine started unfolding in front of me and I fell hopelessly in love with the craft in all its facets.”
 
Mynhardt has gone on to  a number of restaurants in Cape Town, establish a wine bar and eatery in Riebeek Kasteel  called “Bar Bar Black Sheep” and winning kykNET’s reality cooking competition “Kokkedoor” alongside his partner, Tiaan.
 
It's become an annual tradition for Chef Mynhardt to bake a mountain of fruitcakes to benefit charity, and we have him in the studio to show us how to make his famous Free State Fruitcake, plus the secrets that make it so delectable.

With Christmas fast approaching, he’s got both Christmas Cakes and Christmas boxes on offer to take the stress of the festive season (and your in-laws) off your shoulders.

Mynhardt’s Christmas Box serves 6 – 8 guests and costs R2 700.00 per box. Orders can be placed via orders@mynhardt.co.za or by WhatsApp at 0788005155.
