Msaki
Joining us in studio is singer-songwriter Msaki.
It came as no surprise that at a young age Msaki fell in love with music. Born into a musical family, with her father being a DJ while studying and running choirs throughout his life. Her grandfather was also a well-known songwriter and composer. She enrolled in a visual art and design course in 2008. In 2009 she went to Grahamstown to further her studies. During her that time she became part of an alternative rock collective, where she formed her first band and taught herself how to play the guitar. For her the guitar was a song writing tool that gave her the independence she needed to create content.
Her career has grown with her first solo album titled Zaneliza, wich was released in 2016. She has been topping the music charts with her creative sounds and tracks. Msaki has been a mother while doing her gigs and touring countries and has done exceptionally well. Msaki has shared stages with renowned artists like Madala Kunene, Nduduzo Makhathini and Thandiswa Mazwai amoungst many others. Now with her third baby Msaki thinks woman can do anything they set their mind to.
