Mnqobi Yazo 
 
Actor and musician Mnqobi Yazo is in the studio to  tell us about his debut album “Impi” and takes us into the weekend with a phenomenal performance of his song, “Isiginci.” Which is about Mnqobi using his talent as a courtship and charming a specific woman with his guitar.
 
Mnqobi’s passion for music developed at a young age when he started rapping in grade 4. Throughout his schooling career, he dabbled in music however, his love for the industry only came alive after he started his professional music career in college.
 
After high school, Mnqobi started studying at the Creative Arts College. During that time, he started listening to Isicathamiya, Afro Jazz and Maskandi, and began combining elements from these genres into his own unique genre.
 
His music combines traditional African music with contemporary music, in order to bring heritage into the present-day times. The Durbanite also formed a group together with Sibu Nzuza, Aewon Wolf and Sounds Taboo.
 
Today, Mnqobi is an award winning South African artist that has won him multiple local and international awards and has been featured on top billboards.
