Miss Patty Monroe

We catch up with the talented Miss Patty Monroe as she chats about her 10 years in industry. Today, she helps up in the Afternoon Express kitchen before she gives us a breath-taking performance of her 2020 single “Perfect Timing”.
 
Born and raised in Cape Town’s Southfield suburbs, Miss Patty Monroe love for music started at a young age. At just 15-years-olds, she entered The Night Of The Beat Bangaz, a hip hop platform run by the legendary DJ Ready D, DJ Azhul and DJ E-20. Although she was too young to perform at the event, the experience inspired her to reach for greater heights.
 
As a teen, she entered SA’s Got Talent in 2013 and during the 2012 MTV Base VJ Search, she made it into the Top 25 of the Cape Town auditions phase.
 
Today, she has made a name for herself in the music industry. She is a force to be reckoned with and is making her mark outside of the music industry as well. She sits down with us to discuss her mission to decolonise the South African education system
