Mc Millan Nephawe AKA Man Malaya and Leonard Malatji AKA Lenny Sbechu have been making music together for over 10 years. They are considered to be the pioneers behind the Bacardi sound that evolved into Amapiano.
 
They have made a name for themselves in the music industry, with their debut song ‘John Vuli Gate’ reaching over 5.4 million views on YouTube. Today, they perform that song that placed them on the map.
 
‘John Vuli Gate’ has gone platinum, with over 2.4 million streams. The duo even started a dance challenge - the #JohnVuliGate dance challenge, which added to the song’s success.
 
In 2015, the duo was nominated in the Golden awards under the category of the best African song. The following 2 years, they walked away with the Best House Artists award at the Annual Pheli Awards.
 
Mapara A Jazz have worked with prominent figures in the South African music industry including the likes of Mr KG, Pencil Zing Master, Team Mosha, GPG Wa Pitori, Team Delela, Pat Medina and more.
