We meet Illustrator, Lore Botha, from Lore Studio, as she chats to us about why she left her career as a chemical engineer, to explore more of her creative side, and how she uses her work to uplift others.
As writing and painting was always her go to form of relaxation and reflective therapy, Lore decided that it was a part of herself that she wanted to develop and explore more. and at the age of 27, she did just that. She left her job as a chemical engineer and founded Loré Studio.
Lore’s work is inspired by her travels across the beautiful African continent and touches on environmental issues, loss, trauma, healing, femininity and empowerment. Through her work, she hopes to both inspire and uplift people.
