Keorapetse Tabane
Joining us today is South Africa’s first ever black medical oncologist and the future of Healthcare.
Dr Tabane was born in Hebron, North of Pretoria and matriculated from Tsogo High School in Mmakau. She works in tandem with a multidisciplinary team of oncologist at Sandton Oncology providing patients with multifaceted treatments. She also started the HappiMe Foundation with Dr Fikila Tsela, a nephrologist at Mediclinic Heart Hospital. The foundation aims to fight gender inequality in townships, by ensuring young girls get the proper knowledge and products they need to stay in school. They hope to inspire young women who also want to pursue a journey in healthcare.
