Janita Toerien

Joining us in studio today is wedding gown designer, Janita Toerien.
 
Janita has always loved fashion and has been drawing dresses since a very young age. She went on to study fashion for three years and then went on to get international experience. Once Janita returned home she struggled to find her niche, until she decided to make dresses full time that is.
 
In 2009 she started a business with only a few hundred Rand which took off when she decided to break away from the norm and made a beautiful blush and polkadot wedding dress.

Janita now runs a successful, proudly South African business. With the help of her  dynamic team of 4 she makes custom creations for real brides and has even branched out to offer a limited selection of once-off Couture gowns, everyday ready-to-wear pieces and their own fragrance.
