Jaco Brand and Kobus Kritzinger
Picardi Place
While many dream of moving to the countryside, few achieve this. One of the lucky ones however, is Jaco Brand, who a few years ago decided to pack up all his belongings and move an hour away from Cape Town to the heart of the beautiful Rawsonville.
There, he opened up the exquisite Picardi Place, a guesthouse, wedding venue and conference venue. At Picardi, Jaco decided to continue with another passion - Italian cuisine, as he offers cooking lessons. Today, we get a small taste of one of his classes as he teaches us the art of pasta making.
While we visit Picardi, we get a glimpse of the property’s permaculture garden as Permaculture Designer, Kobus Kritzinger, teaches us about the sustainable farming practices they follow on the farm.
