Future chef, Foodie and Recipe Developer

We welcome The Taste Master SA Season 1 finalist, Future Chef and Foodie, Imtiyaaz Hart, back to the show for a budget meal Masterclass.

Hailing from Gqeberha, the foodie moved to the Mother City to pursue opportunities in the food industry, where he developed a deep love for Cape Town - a city he now considers his home.

The Recipe Developer’s love for food and cooking was nurtured in the kitchen with help from his late grandmother Gasia. It was in those formative moments that he developed a passion for cooking that he has carried through into his adult life, turning his passion into a career.
 
Notably, Imtiyaaz has achieved many sought after feats, including being a finalist on The Tastemaster SA and being a winner on Come Dine With Me South Africa. 

Following a retrenchment in the media industry, as a result of Covid-19, he decided to pursue his passion for cooking and began doing recipe and content development. 

Having won a 3 year bursary to study towards becoming a chef, Imtiyaaz is currently studying the Advanced Professional Cooking programme through the Capsicum Culinary School. 

He hopes to one day work as a chef abroad in the UK, Asia and Europe before setting his sights on his home to open up his own restaurant.
