Francis Chouler
Francis is a South African film, television and theatre actor whose work ranges from blockbuster film Gavin Hood’s Eye In The Sky to prime time TV star in Netflix’s Golden Globe-winning The Crown to classic and contemporary theatre.

Francis trained at University of Cape Town (UCT), graduating cum laude with a BA in Theatre and Performance in 2010. Aged 30, Francis has already been in 14 local and international film and television series. On the local theatre stage, Francis has played in Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Taming of the Shrew and Cardenio at Maynardville open-air theatre. In addition, Francis has featured in over 40 local and international commercials including major campaigns for Peugeot, Mini Cooper, Paypal and Virgin Atlantic.

During and after his 4-year degree in Theatre and Performance at UCT, Francis spent 6 years working with Reach for a Dream’s “Jabulani Kingdom” program bringing magic, clowning and storytelling into the wards of children with life-threatening diseases.
Besides sailing, hobbies include trail running and yoga and meditation. In addition, he recently completed the 35km ULTRA trail Cape Town last December.
