Mbali Mlotshwa made her acting debut in Moja Movie Factory’s Mtunzini.com in 2005 and took her first lead role in Tshisa.

In her Mtunzini role she played a beauty pageant contestant which is close to her real life experience. Mbali was crowned Miss Safa in 2005 and started her pageant career as runner-up Miss Tinkerbell when she was six years old.

Mbali's appeared in school plays and also dances and ice skates.
