Dr. Rebecca Malope

We are joined in the studio by the legendary Dr Rebecca Malope. In her iconic career that has spanned for over 30 years, she released an outstanding 36 albums, which has solidified her as one of the greats of all time.  
 
Dr. Rebecca has been dubbed by many as the ‘Queen of Gospel’, representing South African gospel far and wide, going on tours to countries such as Ghana, France, Germany and Swaziland.  She has achieved many milestones throughout her career such as being the first woman and black artist to perform at the State Theatre in Pretoria after Apartheid. She is also the first South African artist to be featured in the American Christian Churches hymnbook, with her song ‘Uthando Lwam’
