Clement Nciki
Petrol Attendant Clement Nciki chats to us about his act of kindness that made him famous.
Last year, Clement made headlines after he lent Laine Herman, a mother of three, his car. She was a complete stranger to him at the time. Laine’s car had broken down and she desperately needed to pick up her kids from school.
On her way to fetch her children from school, Laine noticed “low oil light” on her dashboard. She pulled into the Total garage in Ramsgate and replaced the oil however, she was unable to move.
New to Kwa-Zulu Natal and the area, Laine panicked and fortunately Clement came to the rescue and offered her his car. Laine managed to fetch her children while Clement organised for her car to get fixed.
Laine posted about her positive experience on social media and it went viral. The story was picked up by popular new sites including News24. Today, Clement and Laine recount their first encounter.
