This Thursday, Afternoon Express is jet setting as we head over to Johannesburg for a sensational cook-a-long with Chef, Entrepreneur and Author, Chef Nti.

Growing up in Tladi, Soweto, Chef Nti’s most significant memory is food. Her late grandmother’s aromatic and fragrant dishes would attract strangers from all areas. As a result, her personal brand and dishes are inspired by the dishes she grew up with.

 She released a cookbook, ‘My Modern African Kitchen” that was inspired by her time in Soweto and her grandmother’s cooking. Her cookbook celebrates food that is proudly South African.

Over the years, Chef Nti’s career has taken flight. The Hospitality Counsel hosted their annual Luxe Restaurant awards where Chef Nti received the award for the Culinary Media Personality of The Year and the African Restaurant of The Year for her restaurant, Taste Kitchen.

Big things are happening for Chef Nti as she is currently shooting her own TV show and has also launched an online store for her personal range of sauces and spices.
