Chef Ayabonga Gope
Private Chef Ayabonga Gope joins us in the kitchen as we whip up some delicious dishes for this week's masterclass.
Chef Aya has made a name for himself in the culinary industry. His journey began when he studied Hotel Management and Culinary and Arts at the Chef’s and Hospitality Skills Academy.
After graduating, he went on to work as a Sous Chef at numerous eateries in South Africa including The Commodore Hotel, Manna Epicure and The Deck House in Cape Town. The Deck House was awarded for Best Seafood by Eat Out in 2016.
Since then, he has pursued a solo career as a private chef and focuses on cooking for intimate occasions, corporate functions and bespoke events.
One of the most notable highlights in his career was becoming a finalist in a popular cooking TV show, “Top Chef South Africa” in 2016.
