Bucie
We are being joined by the lovely queen of house vocals, Bucie. The Kimberly born singer discovered her talent at the young age of 7 years old, where she stood out singing in her Sunday school choir.
She got her start in the music industry by auditioning for the Soul City soundtrack in 2005 and then ended becoming apart of the Chicco produced singing group Maubani. Her star has shined even in the beginning of her career, sharing the stage with legends such as Judith Sephuma, Tshepo Tshola, Sbongile Mngoma, Arthur Mafokate and Thembisile Mntaka. She only released her debut album ‘Rockstar’ in 2007, which featured the her smash hit collaboration ‘Turn me on’, with legendary DJ and producer Black Coffee, the song had a massive response even the USA and United Kingdom.
This was her first collaboration with Black Coffee, the second to follow would be ‘Super Man’. It became the most downloaded song on Traxsource earning both artists respect and recognition locally and around the world‘s House music scene. In 2016 Black Coffee did a remix of the song with international rapper Drake, the song is called ‘Get it together’
In 2015 she won the Female artist of the year award at the SAMA’s and got nominated for Best Female album at the 14th Metro FM awards, for he album ‘Princess of House’, the album featured hits such as ‘Easy to love’, ‘Shela’ and ‘All of Me’. It is regarded as her best album to date. She is currently working on her new album and has recently released ‘Love Me Right’ ft Mobi Dixon, which is working its way on music charts all across South Africa.
