Bokang Lehabe

Young designer Bokang Lehabe is taking the fashion world by storm, through his label Bookha Creations. He may be from humble beginnings, but Bokang holds qualifications in Marketing and B.A. degree in fashion design.

Bokang is from the village of Ganyesa in the North West and matriculated in Bloemfontein. His childhood played a large part on his outlook of the world and more specificly, his outlook on fashion.

Bokang’s work has been featured in various publications and has been exhibited at numerous museums and art galleries in South Africa including the Cape Town Hair and Beauty Show. His brand Bookha Creations, which he launched in 2014, is a boutique brand that showcases the current and emerging trends, while keep its South African flavour. He draws his inspiration from art and social issues affecting ordinary people.

“My designs and collections always have a social responsibility message attached to them,” he says. “My design philosophy has always been to use my skills to inspire people and encourage dialogue.”
