Aurora Marcopoulos

With us today is Co-founder of The Cora Project Aurora Marcopoulos, an initiative to end period poverty in South Africa by supporting women in vulnerable communities with the necessary resources and educating them on menstrual health.

The Marcopoulos sisters founded the Cora Project to raise awareness on menstrual hygiene as 30% of girls miss school due to lack of menstrual hygiene products. Not only do they have a sanitary pad drive, but with donations they also purchase the safepad, which is a reusable and washable sanitary product.

They are currently supplying communities in Cape Town.
