Ashur Petersen

Born into a musical family, Ashur’s musical journey began at the age of 6. Being surrounded by music, he taught himself to play numerous instruments including the drums, piano, trumpet and banjo.
 
After matriculating from Wynberg Boys High School in Cape Town, Ashur went on to study a Bachelor of Music from the University of Cape Town. He pursued a career in music that saw him being invited to perform across the globe and when he returned to South Africa, he started his own music production studio.
 
Ashur has made a name for himself in the South African music and theatrical scene, having been the runner up for the Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award in 2009 and a finalist on the Voice South Africa Season 3.
 
His social media presence has also grown over the years, accumulating over 200 000 Facebook Followers, 71.8K YouTube Subscribers and 22.4K Instagram followers.
