Andile Dyalvane

The founder of Imiso Ceramics was born on 25 September 1978 in the small vilage of Ngobobozana.

Andile was always artistic and studying ceramics was a calling for him. But he soon realised that there was no money in artistry without some kind of brand behind it.

He and his college friends started Imiso Ceramics, where they draw from their Xhosa roots to craft ceramics that are contemporary, beautiful and sought after.

Their brand has grown steadily, and is now also sold in international markets.

Andile now has a solo exhibition planned at a leading New York gallery.
