In the season premier of Win A Home, meet the amazing Design Duos, their magazine mentors, the expert judges and take a tour of the design competition location; the incredible Eye of Africa Golf and Residential Estate in Johannesburg.
In this first episode of Win A Home, the design duos and their mentors are introduced:
Team VISI - Lesego Masekela and Mpho Designer, mentored by Annemarie Meintjies (find out more about #TeamVISI)
Team House and Leisure - Banele Khoza and Tshepo Sealetsa, mentored by Tiaan Nagel (find out more about #TeamHL)
Team Habitat - Abiah Superstar and Brad Muttitt, mentored by Amanda Graham (find out more about #TeamHabitat)
The judges are also introduced:
Donald Nxumalo - winner of Win A Home Season 1 and interior designer at DNX Design
Katlego Kondlo - Category Manager; Decorative Premium Brands - Kansai Plascon
Each week in the competition, the judges will be joined by a third guest judge, who will be a leading expert from the interior design industry.
The competition begins as design duos pay their first visit to Eye of Africa Golf and Residential Estate in the south of Johannesburg. Here, they draw keys to select the cluster home they’ll be transforming. The design duos also meet their magazine mentors, who pop in to get their first look at the spaces.
With mentors and designers now acquainted, it’s time for a little celebration. The media and design who’s who of Jo’burg gather at Eye of Africa for an exclusive launch party, where our design duos get to mingle with the best in the business. As the teams bask in the spotlight, it’s clear they’re ready to show the talent and bold personalities that have made them contenders in this year’s competition.
