03 August 2020

It's Mommy Monday on Afternoon Express and we're talking about the struggles during lockdown with new born babies.

Facing the outbreak of COVID-19 as an expected mother can cause a great sense of fear, anxiety and uncertainty. Clinical Psychologist Stha Ndlovu chat to us on how expected moms can manage their anxiety during this time.

Rafeeqah Vallie and Yazeed Ryklief will be sharing with us their experience of what it was like to give birth in hospital during the global pandemic.

Dr Malinga joins us on the show today celebrating the birth of his beautiful twins but also telling us how it wasn’t really what he was expecting with all the restrictions and regulations of the pandemic. We also look into some of his upcoming projects and how the national lockdown has affected his career.

On the menu today we have some delicious Meat Free Mexican Magic with Fry’s Quesadilla Burger inspired by journalist and lifestyle blogger, Eleanor Douglas and for those who have a sweet tooth - a delicious Chocolate Banoffee Pie. Get the recipe on www.afternoonexpress.co.za/recipes
