Charmaine Govender-Koen, Founder of Charm’s Kitchen, shows us how to make her version of a Durban Style Chicken Curry. Fun fact, Durban curries are hotter, redder, and often made with oil, rather than ghee.

These paper thin, round, sweet-wine-and-dried-naartjie-peel-flavoured wafers are traditionally baked in an iron pan called an oblie-yster. Pro tip: if you don’t have an oblie-yster, you can use the bottom of two regular pans to place on top of each other to press the oblietjie and cook it.
