Potato Week with Chef Tjaart

Potato Week continues on Afternoon Express, and this time we’re joined by Celebrity Chef Tjaart Walraven!
Chef Tumi starts with a delicious breakfast dish, a Rice & Potato Spanish Omelette. This starchy recipe is filled with fibre, vitamins, and minerals – and is bound to give you energy for a long day ahead.
Making gnocchi from scratch is much less complicated than you might think. You only need a couple of ingredients to make this soft and scrumptious Creamy Mushroom and Sundried Tomato Gnocchi. Top tip: It is important to choose the right type of potato when making gnocchi, you need a potato that is starchy with a floury texture and minimum water content.
Next we take a trip to South America with Brazilian Potato & Vegetable Espetinhos. These skewers are made with potatoes, vegetables and a delicious spice blend or marinade. Espetinhos are traditionally served with a spicy sauce, salad or rice.
We finish our hearty Potato Week off with an all-round household favourite, Cottage Pie. This recipe includes your daily 2 fruits and 3 vegetables, making up your KOO 5-A-Day!
