Web

In celebration of New Years, we’re having a party in the loft with celebrity chef Tjaart Walraven and rapper Bravo Le Roux!

Bravo is known for his debut album ‘Long Street’. Most of the songs play tribute to the city’s famed party life style and are often sung in multiple languages.

Today, he will be chatting about his album ‘International Gubevu’ and his collaboration with rapper YoungstaCPT .

In the kitchen we stretching those Christmas gammon leftovers with our Gammon Croquettes with Dijon Mustard. Chef Tjaart will also be showing us what to do with those Lamb leftovers as we make a quick and easy Lamb Pizza Roll that will leave you wanting more!

There’s nothing like the smell of fries! Those leftover potatoes can sometimes go to waste, but not this time! We’re making Refried Roast Potatoes with Pickled Onions and Thyme, a perfect side dish to any meal!

Today, we are also joined by ”The Queen of African Fusion” Nhoza Sitsholwana who will be chatting to us about her journey in the music industry. Nhoza is known for her wide vocal range and soulful sounds that radiates on stage. She has travelled extensively around South Africa and Southern Africa, including Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Namibia with her band Black South Easter.

Joining us in the kitchen again is Chef and Foodie Mynhardt Joubert as he shows us how to make some tantalising New Year’s treats and dishes, starting off with Clover Beetroot Flapjacks paired with Smoked Salmon.

If you think onions can only be used for the base of food, think again! We’re making grilled Red Onions with Feta, Sage, Honey and Walnuts that will be the star of your show this New Year’s dinner and if that doesn’t get you going we’re also preparing Pickled Ox Tongue with Onions in Mustard Sauce; and Sumac Roast Potatoes with Garlic Yoghurt Sauce!
