Episode 95 • 15 September 2015
We catch up with Mr South Africa Armand du Plessis and actor Thapelo Mokoena.
If you thought Spring was bringing some of that warmth, things are about to get even hotter as we have two of South Africa's most handsome guys in the Afternoon Express loft - current Mr South Africa Armand du Plessis and actor-producer Thapelo Mokoena.
DeskBags provide a portable desk solution for learners, which means no more working on the floor. As DeskBags are made from the vinyl of recycled billboards, it is so robust that if looked after well, can last a whole school career. Armand talks about his involvement in this amazing project and gives some insight into his career and life leading up to Mr South Africa.
Thapelo Mokoena is a familiar face on our TV screens, appearing in Generations, Intersexions and Mzansi as well as various commercials. What very few people do realise is that he owns several media companies and is also a TV producer. We get some insight on what projects he has planned for the near future.
Also on the show, if you're a fan of coffee, today's creme brulee recipe you are going to want to jot down, our sustainability series continues with a look at Cordev's kitchen range, more sweet treats from Selati with amazing polenta cake, and we have another Scholl footsie tip to get your feet summer-ready!
