Episode 87 • 3 September 2015
Johnny Apple performs and we look at fabulous matric ball fashion and decor.
It's the one night of our matric years we either hate or look forward to. Nevertheless, it's always memorable. Today's Afternoon Express looks at some of the latest trends in matric ball fashion and decor design. Bridget Booysen from Absolute Functions has made up our loft table with some of the trendiest items for an enchanted forest AND ballroom themed matric ball. We can't have matric ball decor ideas without some tantalizing fashion tips and we welcome so keen students and advise them on how to look awesome on a limited budget.
Our special guest today is SA's Got Talent season 4 winner Johnny Apple, hailed as South Africa's very own Justin Bieber. He'll be performing in the loft and will reveal details on a competition he recently held to grant one South African girl a chance to go to a matric ball with him.
In the kitchen, Bonnie's making homemade biltong with Amber September, Kitty Phetla is featured in our "Getting Under Your Skin" series, and spring is in the air as Bonnie gathers some friends in a Steyn City apartment for a good old fashioned clothing swap.
